I was surprised to find it. It had me do a double take on it. At first I thought it was a token of some kind.

Looks like it was designed that way, with her mouth slightly opened.

For some reason it doesn't do much for me. :grumpy:

Is that the same reverse that's on one of the early commemoratives?

Looks pretty tight lipped. This is from Mint site:

Nice to find so early in the year.

Yes, it's pretty much identical to the 1920-21 Pilgrim commemorative reverse design. Kind of lame in my opinion. Also seems like a bizarre choice, putting the 1620 Mayflower on a 1776 commemorative. Why not pick something from 1776? I'm curious what the thought process was there.

I thought it looked familiar, and yes I agree, a poor choice.

I like the coin and think it is appropriate for this celebration - this was a seminal moment in the creation of our great country, perfect for being on this first of the four quarters.

First of all, I'm not joking about this. I had a literal dream last night where I was walking in a parking lot, and I saw a quarter, and I picked it up and it was one of these new 2026 Pilgrim/Mayflower Quarters that I just saw in this thread.
By the way, I actually love the design. The Pilgrim story was one of my favorites growing up, I feel that it embodies the meaning of America. Without them them, I don't think we would have a 1776 to celebrate, so I think this coin honors that stepping stone.
