My advice: 1. Don't buy any coins until you've sufficiently researched and learned about the coins. Most people overpay for coins because they don't know the actual value. This is a great place to start building that knowledge foundation. 2. Collect what you like. Find out what you like and focus on researching and collecting those coins.
Hola Roxana Again collect what appeals to you! You need not collect a certain series from starting date to end. An example Lincoln cents 1909 to present date. Maybe you don't care to collect cents/pennies, perhaps you said you like silver dollars, or walking Liberty half dollars . Even then you need not ,unless you want to...put together a set from start to finish. Maybe you like coins from several series and want to collect certain dates that relate to history or family birth dates. But as Seattlite86 said you must first understand and learn . Buy books about the series you like....go on line and research, read and explore . I do understand that you may not understand the English language as well as Spanish . But by doing research this will also help you understand the language better. Ask questions here .....by all means collect what appeals to you. And.....most of all enjoy your coins....take pride and buy smart. Many here on this forum really like to see younger collectors as well as female collectors. We all share a passion in our coins....and also wish to share with each other as well as new collectors this same passion .
Collect what you like. My favorites are Peace Dollars, Walking Liberty Halves, and Mercury Dimes. But yes do your research first. Also join the ANA as they have a huge online library.
Collect what you like. Collect what you can afford. And collect what makes you happy. That's what it's about!
