I bought this because the price was low enough and I had never heard of them. The grading slab is something in my opinion. It leaves a lot to be desired as it does nothing to make the coin attractive however the information on the label is very nice. It has a certificate number and the date it was graded. It also has the name of the owner and the grade of the coin, with a separate grade for both sides. Definitely different.

Dave, I kid you not.... I had one of those since the 1980's. I bought it because I wanted a graded coin at the time and that was all anyone was talking about. I didn't know graded coins came in slabs. It was an entirely new concept to me..... At any rate, it was near impossible to store and I had folded that plastic bag and stuffed it in a corner of my safe for so long that it was about to tear apart. I figured I could do one of two things after all these years. I could either set it free from that aggravating plastic holder or pass it on to somebody else.... And no joke, I sold it to a dealer at FUN in January. If I would have known you wanted one I would have sent it to you so it could stay in the family!

I believe NCI was owned or operated by Jim Haperlin from Heritage. Remember Haperlin's NCI grading guide?

Thanks Randy. I’ve had this one for probably 10 years or so. Can’t remember where or when I bought it. But I do remember it wasn’t much.
