I'd love to see a picture of the 1897 Barber quarter - or a link to same!

There's an NGC MS67+ that matches the general description on Heritage here https://coins.ha.com/itm/barber-qua...1228-98401.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 but last sold there in 2015 for $14,100. The same coin (but in a different NGC slab) sold on GC in Nov 2023 for $14,062 https://www.greatcollections.com/Coin/1464723/1897-O-Barber-Quarter-NGC-MS-67-Toned. The poll implies that it sold recently so perhaps OP will tell us which auction.

There's a PCGS MS67+ https://images.pcgs.com/CoinFacts/35793876_68492383_2200.jpg but it's blast white so it must be a different coin.

It is still for sale if you want to buy it! Try this link: https://www.lccoins.com/default/1897-o-barber-silver-quarter-ef40-ngc-cac-1.html . If that doesn't work, just look up the coin on L&C Coins. @The Meat man, there are 4 good pictures there if you like. All the coins listed in the poll were from L&C Coins. It's up for retail sale, but not auction. My first post for this thread said that they had been sold or were still up for sale. You have a good one!

Me too. I didn't pick the coin that I thought was the most valuable. I picked the one I'd most like you have. You were too easy on him, though. It had to be a bigger penalty than that, I think, lol.

Nice exercise; thanks for starting the thread. There is only one on the list that I collect and already have it. So, I'd pick the most valuable and sell it. Looks like the Saint. Mike

I picked the Saint, and still would even if reselling it weren't in the cards. To me, the high-relief Saint is the absolute pinnacle of US coin design.
