Fun poll: You can have any of these 8 rare coins for free - Which would you choose?

I would go for the Barber quarter. In high grades those little buggers are really nice looking!

 

I have a few of those pieces in better or sometimes lesser grades. None of the pieces I don't have are "on my radar." I picked the 1893-S dollar since that is a famous Morgan Dollar, and the coin has no problems. I don't buy coins with problems listed on the holder.

 

I chose the 1872 CC Dollar, just because I don't have one.

 

I didn't want to make it so large of a list so as to make it seem like more of a "job to read poll" than a fun poll. I was considering a few Buffalo Nickels, but I too many other grreat coins. but, I did want everyone to participate, so here is a poll designed specifically for @BuffaloHunter :

Thank you for all the votes and the votes that continue to come in. I did not expect this many responses from the amazing people on this forum. Apparently this question tickles the brains of coin collectors. Also, a reminder that tomorrow I will be revealing the prices of these coins in the poll. for those who are interested. Just realized a small mistake in the poll: it should be 1941-S not 1942-S for the Walking Halve. Fortunately, very slight value difference.

I chose the 55 DDO. More my style.

 

I know I didn't have to, but I love doing things like that!

 

I would have to go with the st. Gaudens High relief. That design is by far my favorite U.S coin design and a dream coin. I will say though, you made it a hard choice with all of the other coins on the list that your average collector can only dream of owning.

 

I'm picking the coin that appeals to me the most...not looking at value. I choose the 1916-D Merc because it's a coin I've always thought was special.

Respect for that answer. My poll was more about which coin would you personally treasure having the most. I've also always wished I had the extra money to get one of those 1916-D's.

 

I actually did have a 16-D years ago but I had to sell my collection some time ago and that went with it. It was only a Good but it was the cleanest, undamaged coin you'd want to see. Just a pretty little thing.
