Littleton Coin prices are mind boggling!

Just be aware that silver and gold prices can change dramatically over a few hours. Appreciate you post.

I had no idea that Littleton Coin Company was that big. I have not had much to do with them. Somehow a dealer left a large number of Little packaged presidential dollars at at a show my local club was running. I'll give them credit. They were the best looking presidential dollars I have seen. They didn't have grades, but they were all MS-67 or better.

The wierd part was that I could not get much over face value for them at the club auctions. All of the dollars were the pieces which were the very common, made for circulation presidents, before the the mint gave up and only made them for collectors.

 

They aren't worth too much, even though Littleton cranks up the prices this year to an average of $7.54 for any uncirculated Presidential dollar. (excluding proofs) Some, like the Woodrow Wilson dollar, are as high as $17 there. (It's not even proof!)

 

The ones that were not issued for circulation do cost a little more but that is on the higher side.
