Man, that sucks, ro ... I hate emotional screw ups!!

However, no matter how nasty it seems now, I always find a silver lining,

Gawd, I laugh when I look back on my old relationships ... yah, despite your adult looks, it,s no different than breaking up during junior high school ...

Regardless, no matter how lousy it feels now, there is always another lousy chick waiting in the fricken wings!!

We all get depressed at times. When I do, I try to count my many blessings. It makes me see that maybe I don't have it so bad after all. Hang in there my friend. Tomorrow when the sun rises, perhaps things will look up for ya.

I didn't mean anything bad by it, but for what's it worth, I am sorry if anything I said bothered @ro1974 . I meant no disrespect.

I feel for you brother (sister?). Depression is a terrible ailment, and one that many do not recognize, nor understand. Until you've dealt with it 'up close', you haven't a clue at what that person, who is suffering, is going through. Without revealing details, I've dealt with it, but more in the third person. Hang in there old friend and seek help from an medical professional. That can make all the difference in feeling better.

@ro1974 I am sorry to hear that you are depressed right now. I have never had to deal with this myself, but I have known people who have faced it so I know that seeking help from someone trained in this area can make a huge difference, I would urge you to explore that.

I can say that I enjoy your posts and I love looking at the coins you buy. Your posts here have value and meaning to those of us who see them and I hope knowing that provides you with some solace.

Yeah depression sucks. I had PTSD which destroyed my first marriage. She didn't understand what I was going through, decided it was easier to just hate me. Today that divorce was probably the best thing that could've happened.
We all get depressed and sometimes we need to seek out a person who can help put that behind us or atleast teach us how to deal with it when it gets rough.
I won't get to personal but at one time I was pretty bad, my oldest son walked in and that may have saved me. Thre years later I buried both my sons almost 20 years ago.
I have a granddaughter who is bipolor a grandson who is autistic oh and my wife who battles depression.
Help is out there you just need to admit to yourself if you have a problem then lean on family and friends to help find you care. Every emotional state is treatable some are cureable.
We are normal for our own minds. Depression isn't a rare illness.

Heartbreak hurts terribly. A divorce, a breakup, a separation--some of the most painful of human experiences. I've had my heart broken more than once and I understand. How to deal with it? I'm not sure there is a quick and easy remedy, despite what Ovid recommends in his Remedia Amoris, a book specifically on how to get over losing a lover.

I'm sorry to hear that. I am kinda going through the same thing right now, but I think you are hurting much worse than I am right now.

What I find helps is taking a long walk or bike ride to clear your mind and be out in the world. Nothing makes depression worse than sitting inside all day lamenting on how bad things are.

I'm there in that dark place at times. I try to find someone I can help who's in a worse place. The members of my church submit prayer cards and I help the Pastor review them each week. I offer my support to folks who are hurting. I can forget my own problems when I'm supporting another person.

    Excellent advice T.C!
Having gone through an episode of severe emotional stress once in my life, I also found that physical exercise really did help.

Great video! I remember back in the 80s when we first got cable TV. I watched MTV all the time. I remember that video. MTV was fantastic back then! Back to back music videos—no talk.
