Help with older Chinese/Japanese coin

    I did a Google image search and it says Kaiyuan Tongbao, but that doesn't seem to match visually. I found this eBay listing that looks like mine. It says Yuan Feng tong bao, but when I look that up I don't see a match for mine. I also found a Japanese 1 mon that looks similar but the production methods look more modern.     Looks like you're right. So since it's the Japanese one, what do you call it as far as denomination? Is it still tong bao?

    I think Tong Bao just means circulating money.
