I won this in auction today. Looking forward to receiving it for closer examination... Any thoughts on how toning occurred so suddenly?
What about subtle blue/green, and subtle purple/pink? I won this tonight, and don't have it in-hand yet. I think this looks very natural and pretty. I am a bit colorblind, so I'm wondering if everyone is scratching their heads and wondering where the subtle blue/green, and subtle purple/pink is. I see this coin's toning as a "cool" obverse, and a "warm" reverse, but this might all be in my head.
I don't see any issue with the toning on your coin it looks natural to me. My point was that toning goes thru cycles to achieve the blues and reds. So those two together early on says to me that the toning doesn't look natural. All in all @playpossum0985 coin, the photos could be out of balance, and we don't see the true colors of the coin.
