    If it's one avoirdupois pound, it's a bit under 14.6 troy ounces.

    If it's a troy pound, it's 12 troy ounces.

    If they don't specify, you'd better assume they mean troy pounds. And move on without buying, because if they're trying to bamboozle you with weights and measures, they'll try to do it by other means as well.

    They've got TV commercials running, but nothing on their website. They want you to call in and speak to someone.

    The thing is...if you're buying a "bag of gold" which is obviously worn and pretty much worth melt....the fact that it was part of the Fairmont Collection is irrelevant. It could be from Louis Eliasburg or Bob Simpson and it would still only be worth melt. :D
