It’s not a bad thing, but I’ll be busy with post office runs after all the drawings…

Speaking of running, how's the weather that far south? Ice or rain?
We already ordered oil for the house and getting groceries today, well, my wife is.. We've been together so long, I automatically say WE. :D

We were in the 70s today. It's been gorgeous. Another cold front coming, though, so even down here we'll probably get freezing weather again.

If I were to win I would choose the hurricane ASE. Why? The story is simply awesome. Mike

1876 Seated liberty quarter for the face or less type set please. Every coin in it was face value or less. I think I'll use it instead of the Barber. Thanks for the chance!

That's one of the new additions I bought at the FUN show this month. I try to keep some Seated coins in the giveaway inventory but they tend to go rather quickly.

With silver through the roof, you'd think I'd pull back some of the giveaway lots with silver in them. But I have left them, and actually added more. Should make things fun. :)

Since I will be out of the office for the weekend, I have decided to do the drawing on the 31st instead of the 1st.

    So here we go.

    Our lucky number was... 39.

    39.png

And Post #39 was by @Mr. Numismatist - on behalf of @SensibleSal66 !

Good on you, @Mr. Numismatist! And COINgratulations, @SensibleSal66! He just won you a prize, so you get your choice. Earlier, in the entry you made on your own behalf, you said...
So that lot is yours if you want it (and note that I sweetened it a little by adding an additional bonus coin to it this month- so now it's more than just the two projectile points).

Or you may change your mind and choose something else from the list. I shall message you shortly for your address, even though I've almost got that memorized by now.

As usual, please do not forget to post to this public thread when you have received the prize, so we'll all know you got it.

    Cheers,

    ~RWS/"LM"

OK, this is the prize lot that @SensibleSal66 chose.

    Giveaway Lot #250906-01

(LOT: 2 artifacts + 1 coin) Two prehistoric Native American stone projectile points plus an 1863 Indian Head cent
    [IMG]

This lot consists of two prehistoric Native American projectile points and a coin.

The larger projectile point (which is about 3-1/4 inches long) was reportedly found by a deer hunter in 2020, near Valdosta, Georgia. I was told it may be either a South Prong Creek or Alachua Stemmed point due to the serrations, shape, and South Georgia find location. If true, this would make it about 3,000 to 6,000 years old.

I have no provenance on the smaller point except that it came from a Georgia collection.

    Both ex-Rick Keefe, Brunswick, Georgia.

The coin is an 1863 copper-nickel Indian Head cent, struck in the middle of the Civil War. Its type is Numista-1108.

@SensibleSal66, you should choose this beauty, it's OFF the list.....

Or, @lordmarcovan, did you really mean Sal could change his mind and pick something else ON the list? ;)

    BTW, congrats, Sal.
    Kudos, Rob.
And nice karma to you, @Mr. Numismatist

    Oh- and you’re hired.

    As my editor.

    The pay stinks, though. :p

How about you just pay me double what you paid me last year? Then we can call it a deal. :hilarious:
