    United States: 1893 gold Liberty Head half eagle ($5.00)

    PCGS MS63. Cert. #28033440.

    Numista-18809, Krause-Mishler-101.

    Mintage: 1,528,120.

    Ex-"micbraun"; private sale with CoinTalk member from Germany, 26 July 2022.

    Here is an attractive example of the Liberty Head half-eagle, with just a few light marks consistent with the MS63 grade. Like much of the gold in my present possession (February 2026), I purchased this coin before the price of bullion doubled, so for once in my life I seem to have had fortuitous timing.
