When I go to my LCS I go through world coin bins and basically buy everything that looks promising and plan to look at it more closely later when I get home. I'm usually looking for things I can resell at a profit and also things I don't have yet for my collection, but at this point it mostly things to resell. That being the case, I saw this 1905 Mexican 1 centavo and figured I could get a few bucks for it and threw it in the pile. My eyes not being what they used to be, I didn't note the mintmark but assumed it was M, as C is much less common. I finally got around to looking at it and saw it was a C, so that's cool. Then I looked it up and found it's the best date in this part of the series. The only one for sale on eBay (which is nicer than mine) is listed for $765. That's probably high but either way I'm feeling good about this one.

Every once in a while, even a flying squirrel catches an acorn. Congratulations, cool find.

Like they used to say to me in baseball when hitting, "Good Idea!".

While there was some luck involved, it seems like you have developed a skill set for picking out better items from these bins. So you were lucky and good. :)

Yeah, I know a lot but I can't say I know the value of every date and mintmark from every series. Sometimes I get a pleasant surprise.

    Wow, nice cherrypick! COINgratulations!

This is the sort of thing I used to love doing when I was into searching bulk World lots.
