1975 high D nickel

    I think that is an interesting abnormality. It is in fair condision for a '75.

    Yep, I'd certainly hang onto something like that! I think I read about them long ago, but I've forgotten any details.

    Thanks for the info! I found it in a roll today. This was a bucket list coin for me and living in the Denver area I was hoping I would find one eventually.

    That’s interesting that there are some out there with a cud. Now I’m curious how many could have been minted for the die to break down like that.

    That mint employee was either distracted (or high) when they added the mint mark on the die :facepalm:
