Flea Market Finds and GTG

    I think I might take my chances and submit it. No matter what it is eye appealing in hand, out of the couple ones that were being sold, this one had the fewest marks. I might lose a little, but it is worth it for the lesson learned.

    I think it is a AU55-AU58 since the luster seems broken on the high points that is not related to a poor strike. Look at the eagles breast and the back of the cap. With the additional bag marks and tone spots and poor luster I lean to the AU55.

    MS64....In hand, maybe 65.

    with the second set of photos there is wear on the high points I say AU 55

    Nowhere near that grade.

    au at best, possibly a details coin

    What is a coin that grades with what you said, details? What does details mean?

    Details refers to the coin not being original. It could be cleaned or have a number of different issues. It may grade a solid au from the photos, but I cant really tell and there are some hairlines. In my opinion the OP already has a lot into the coin and it would not be worth grading.
