Hello, I've acquired a coin and not collection from my father and cannot identify this note all I know is that it's 5 something and probably dated about WWII. I'm cataloging the collection so I know what's there before I sell them. Is there anyone who might be able to help me? Thank you. debs : )
Thank you for your help. Mostly I have no idea what I'm looking at with these pieces of paper and when they have no English it's twice as hard! You might find yourself looking at my next dilemma because I have a small pile of notes (and coins) that I have no idea about : )
Very often if you have the slightest clue of the country of origin/ year/ denomination you can plug that information into Google (i.e. 5 Yuan Taiwan 1961 photo) and a number of pictures will come up. And you can try to match the one you are looking for, and click on it to see what the denomination/ country/ date are. It's very easy.
If you are planning on selling East Asian notes please let me know what you have. I am particularly interested in Korean currency.
Also if you need help identifying notes I read Korean and a decent amount of Chinese so I may be able to help though I don't know values on many of the bank notes
