1/12 Thaler, but from where?!

I've tried googling this as much as I could but couldn't find it. I also don't have a 1700s world coin book (I might have to buy one soon). Can anyone help me identify where this was minted and suggest what its value might be?

Could it be a Mule coin? Looks like 2 reverse sides

Sorry, but I'm not sure if you're confused or I am. The double eagle is the obverse. The second photo is just me putting the coin on top of another 1/12 Thaler to show its size and likeness.

No I see what you did.. It's that when I search Double Headed Eagle I get images of coins that say it's the reverse.. for Thalers

Fair enough. I can't find that coin anywhere. It's starting to make me wonder if it truly exists. I am definitely wishing I had a 1700s book to dig into.

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

(German State) Schwarzburg-Sondershausen has a 2-headed eagle, with a crown overhead, the left claw holding a sword and the right claw holding an orb with a small cross.

The denomination would also fit. In 1764, the Prince was Christian Gunther III, and you see from the 9 to 11 o'clock position the word "Gunthe...?"

S-S was a small enclave within the borders of Thuringia.

doug444 has it right. It is a 1/12 Taler coin from Schwarzburg Sonderhausen.

HC AS are the initials of the Mintmaster at Arnstadt where the coin was struck.
Heinrich Christian Andreas Siegel - 1763-1764.
