Thanks, Denis! It was a fun show, for sure. That is the busiest I've ever seen that show at this venue, and I've been taking this one in for probably 25 years now.
I got to the show late Saturday. When you do that you miss out on a lot of the choice pieces. Still was able to add a few nice rounds to my 1 oz silver collection.
Me too. I been keeping my eyes open for one of these for quite some time. The dealer had two of them, the other being an 1855-O. That one did not look as nice as this 1860-O.
I look back at this purchase from last March ($3,300) and think to myself, "Self, you should have bought the bar that was sitting next to this one, too!"
Five years ago I was in a jewelry repair shop and he had a hundred ounce silver bar he was peddling. I offered him 10% shy of spot figuring he would call me to come get it later. Never got the call.... Yeah, I shoulda bought too. My magic 8-ball failed me on that one.
