I started collecting cents in the late 50's and early 60's, sold my partial Lincoln cent collection for my high school class ring, gave it to a girl who lost it. Recently visited a local bank for some rolls of pennies and found (in 10 rolls) a 1909 VDB with luster on it, 1921 in very good shape, a 1944 and 1951 - both very good shape, and two 1955s in great shape.
Sure, I will return to the same place. I guess the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area of Tennessee is such a tourist spot that these finds may continue. I hope so, anyway.
Thaks for a great froum, I've read many of the previous posts and appreciate this chance to learn more.
Nickels, dimes and quarters are next.

There are at least three shopts that sell coins at the big flea market right off the Pigeon Forge exit. They at least have a lot of coins to look at.

pcrdnadave: Thanks, I have visited all of the dealers at the big flea market at Exit 407 on I40. They do have many coins and they do have prices that are kinda high but it is fun to look and talk with the guys.
