Did I mention the only good alloy is an impure alloy? :)

Y'know, these things are about as tough as it gets to image while combining both appropriate contrast and in-hand color without hot spots. I'm unsatisfied with the contrast levels on all of these, but those latter two requirements are more important.

OK, this is all of the newps (although the next addition is already picked out :p ). This one's a little more Red than I prefer. Red copper is no more aesthetically pleasing to me than would be the Statue of Liberty in the original Mint Red....

12/41 for the date set so far.

I saw that... they called it a "Doubled Legend"... I think this one needs a proper article.

"Doubled Legend." Heh. Looks more like the engraver put the punch on the bottom of a Pogo Stick and went to town. :)

Just LMK what you'd like for imagery if you choose to do it.

My newest Canadian coin(s)... a two piece bonded 1-cent cap, already in a nice thick PCGS slab graded MS-64. With Canadian errors, a bonded anything is super-scarce... to some, it is an ugly duckling, but I think it is stunning!!

semibovinian: that coin looks like it has a seriously nice collar clash on the obverse.

If anyone knows the 1973 Double Dollar Prestige sets, and the notorious 'Red Fluff' that ruined many of the coins in those sets, and that specimen strikes were issued with mirrored field and mirrored devices, will greatly appreciate just how rare this coin is... Yes, this is the 1973 specimen strike nickel dollar. (Deep cameo strikes on nickel coins represent the first few strikes on brand new dies).

    1 cent -- 1910:

I don't usually bother putting a black circle around the coin, but in this case I had to cut out distracting glare from the slab.
