Just wondering as I have one full tube and I'm thinking of filling the other one but prices are crazy high and a little bit out of my budget! I bought two around around 10 days ago, $91 each and the last one I bought was more than that! Just making a poll to find out what others here are doing, it's been awhile since I made a poll, maybe you can tell!
I sold every Silver Eagle I had in 2022. Raw, in OGP, and graded all were sold. Even the V75 went at a coin show. Every last one of them had a milk spot(s) somewhere. Even the 70s.
I'm in the market for just one. The 2026 that I need for my set. I've got five rolls that I've been hoarding for 20 years. Swore that I would sell them when silver got to this point but can't seem to let them go. Guess I like the idea of holding them more than the idea of having the cash. One good thing about not being married is nobody cares how I spend my money.
Same here. I have my silver stash and the plan was only to sell them in case of an emergency but Im now fighting the urge to sell.
Nope. I've never really had any interest in them anyway, even when they were more affordable. I did end up with two of these, for the disaster pedigree. They came out of Asheville, NC, which was devastated by floodwaters from Hurricane Helene. I used to live in Asheville and still have connections there. ^ This one is in my giveaway inventory, if anyone wants a chance at it in the current giveaway drawing on February 1st (or any of my subsequent "pick your prize" contests). I have a lot of other silver in the giveaway inventory.
Last time I purchased ASE was December with a preorder for 2026. At the time the price was $70. Fast forward and the price increased with fear of not receiving the coins increasing for one reason or another. But yesterday the dealer sent shipping notification with tracking. Super relief here.
Last time I bought Eagles silver was around $20 and I was afraid I made a big mistake...when silver was high in the Hunt Bros. days,it hit highs for only a short time until crashing back down to just a couple dollars an ounce. What will happen now? Oh llama please reply.
Yeah, this feels quite structurally different from the Hunt Brothers episode. Is it like 2011? Only hindsight will tell...
Yep happy wife, happy life I'm just glad I have my own money above and beyond what I give to her! Silver is over $101 right now so my plan is to fill this other tube but I gotta stay off the bay, it's convenient but that's it! I'm gonna hit up my LCS, I'll get a better price but that's if he has any, times are competitive right now in more ways than one!
I crowed to my wife that the silver dime I found in the CoinStar a month or two ago was worth $3.50 in silver. $7.32 now. I hope the pawn shop is keeping up with oil changes on their price-sticker printer...
Yes, only because I needed 2 more to complete my set of type 1 certified set. Luckily those cost me $83 and $95. This was 3 weeks ago. Glad I mostly obtained the others well before this latest silver run, mostly around $60 or less. Regards, Mike.
