The coin is only worth its melt value. Leave it in the ring. It too beat up to collect. Sadly coins in much better condition are only with close to melt now because of the insane price for gold bullion.

This. It's tragic, on the numismatic front. But it still has appeal as a piece of jewelry. That's all it will ever be, now- jewelry. Any numismatic value it once had has been destroyed. Yep. Leave it in the ring.
The gentleman returned today. The company he owns also does home clean outs. 4 GLD rings on each hand, 14k bracelet, 14k rope necklace. Bling, bling! The necklace was over 3.5 oz AGW. Told him over $25k total since he wasn’t needing to sell. We talked for an hour about gold, silver, national debt, you know the usual suspects. The coins were some silver rounds, commemoratives, and such. Exchanged numbers. He’ll be back. Asked how soon before I go north. April 14
