Post entry, in for the Morgan and peace dollars. Well worn, but I know someone who will love them. Here's what my wife left me in the bathroom on my birthday this year.
Entry post for another chance at the Greek lion. Here is a coin that I got added as an online "plate " coin to Wildwinds com PERGAMON(Mysia) AE16. Obverse: Head of Athena right, wearing helmet decorated with 8 pointed star. Reverse: AΘHNAΣ / NIKHΦOPOY. Owl standing facing on palm frond right, with wings spread. Monograms ΓΑ and ΑΡ either sides of owl in fields. Wildwinds online “plate” coin SNGLeipzig 1102-1103. Pergamon mint, ca. 200-133 BC. 2,9 g- 16 mm.
Please count me in for the 2020 Hurricane Helene ASE. I choose this "ugly silver" coin because of the story that accompanies it. It's physical proof of the goodness of others, particularly after disaster strikes, and would hold a special place in my miniature trove of slabbed coins. Thank you once again for running these giveaways, and best of luck to everyone!
I'm still trying for the Crusader States: ca. 1163-1201 AD silver "helmet" denier of Bohemond III of Antioch. By now you know why I would want it. Just appeals to me and I don't have anything like it.
Well, here’s an extra bonus entry for you. Good luck! I recently gave away the Crusader coin in my personal collection. Maybe I’ll find a higher grade (AU to MS) Bohemond “helmet” denier like that at the FUN show.
Please count me in for this contest. If i win, I'd love the pair of silver dollars. That Peace would be a definite upgrade to my current pocket piece: this one has a readable date!!!
I'm so thankful to have won the Kookaburra last month! I stayed out of the last Coinmas contests to let others win. I would like to enter for the 1967 Canada set. I like the Goose Dollar and Wolf Half Dollar designs. I have tried for this in the past. I guess the Goose and Kookaburra birds would go good together! Another big thank you to lordmarcovan for this contest!
Some nice value coins in the giveaway considering the price of silver now. Love the ASE, Maples, and that Britannia (don't own any britannia). 2 - but what really caught my eye was the 474-1992 Spain & USA: trio of Christopher Columbus-related coins 3 - I have a small set of ships/Columbus coins and that 1474-1504 AD coin would be a great addition along with the 1992S Clad that I don't recall seeing. My kids seem to like the very few really old coins I have like my Shipwreck coins so that 1474-1504 would be a great addition to hopefully capture my kids attention to coins.
Note that I have recently made several new additions to the giveaway goodies list, and as of this typing I still have more to add. If you win the drawing for this contest, and you see something in the prize list that appeals to you more than your original selection, you will of course be allowed to change your mind and have the new prize. Stay tuned for more new prize additions for January 2026.
Kids or teachers were exactly the folks I had in mind when I bundled the three coins in that particular lot together. Here is an extra bonus entry in the drawing for you.
