Tremendous coin at a nice price. :) I would have jumped on that one had I seen it first. ;) Great start on the 12 Caesars, too.

I'm envious; I've never posted a coin that attracted its own troll. ;)

I'd love to have one just like it.

Very nice example of this type. The legends are clear and complete, and both the obverse and the reverse are well centered. Additionally, Caesar's portrait is recognizable as a veiled image of himself. A good find!

Thank you for the kind comments. I really like this one: sufficient wear, historically significant, and I fantasize if the scratches are due to REPUBLIC sympathizers scratching out Caesar or just normal wear during its history of circulation. Fascinating time: an all-but-named King has his portrait on official coinage! These may had been the last nail in the coffin...

LOL, I never saw the coin or episode! Was it specifically this issue? Or a similar variety? How much was the Hawk-Meister trying to get for his? Surely, they did not get sucked into buying it!

I managed just over a minute and thirty seconds. Where is the dislike button?

In the show I think the lowest price he was willing to take was around $4,000 or $4,500, and Rick told him to basically bug off. So this morron, or as I like to call him "Questionable Ratings_High Prices" insinuates that Rick is an idiot for not paying him $4000+ for that example.

The whole segment was really bad. This guy sounded like more of a dirtbag than usual on TV, and he even looked the part. Very cringe worthy moment in TV history.

LOL, WOW. To have the opportunity to put your reputation out there on a national forum, and to PURPOSELY BLOW IT, is wantonly stupid! And, agreed, the Video you all posted is wretched! WOW.
