Six had AA block serial numbers. Are these better regarded by the hobby or just a preference of an individual?
Incidentally, I've been seeing a lot of $2 notes with corners missing. I read an article somewhere that folks believed this brought luck. Anyone confirm this practice, not the result?
yes, the $2 were not popular and tearing off the corner was common to prevent bad luck, you can find up to 4 corners torn off.
Somewhere I have an envelope from a horse track that has 4 $2's from the 1928 series in it. All but one of them are missing corners. Incidentally it was in my great grandmother's purse from when she passed away ca. 1953. Apparently they were popular at the horse track because of the $2 bet.
If the notes are from the 1953 or 1963 series, the AA block was the only block printed (aside from star notes), as the quantity printed was too small to require more than one block. Even the 1928 series, which were in print for a quarter-century, only needed five blocks (AA through EA).

Also 1963 XF A06258152A; Also 1928D VF DA Block;28D Vg CA block; 28G XF EA Block. Avg cost $2.69 each. Not looking for price, just if AA was significant. Didn't realize production was so limited
