Hello all! Hope everyone is doing well. In light of the crazy Silver prices lately, I give you this thread. "Magnificent Morgan Dollar Monday!". Post those large shiny coins. That's you also @paddyman98, ;) and excuse me if this is a recycled post.:stop:

Later today I will create a thread on a spectacular Morgan I saw at the New York International Numismatic Convention!

I don't do a lot with Morgans. They're big, pretty coins, and I understand their popularity. It's just that you see so many of them. I tend to gravitate to other types.

Still, as a Type collector, one is all but obligated to have at least ONE Morgan dollar. This is the present type coin in my collection.

One of these is a fake, sticks to a magnet.

I have many Morgans but they are in storage until my house move.

Here's a box with each mintmark.

Bet it's the one at bottom right, eh? The lettering and date look a little wonky on that one, not to mention the overall flat appearance.

Oh! That one flew past me. I still say the bottom right one looks suspiciously mushy, though.

Once upon a time I had a Decades/ Mints set. Here is the sole survivor. I wasn't that sad to have to have sold many of them. As mentioned, Morgans are plentiful. Still, something would die inside me if I had to sell my 1904-O, Went With The Wind, final year for Morgan's dollar:
