It's an aes grave uncia. Not a Republican coin per se as this type was likely minted by another Italian community in Etruria or Umbria but close.
Whatever - TONS of people collect ancient coins. There are like 9 people that actively collect U.S. Air Force military trade tokens and when I post one of my prized acquisitions, I'll get 5 likes and my thread will quickly disappear. This doesn't change my passion though! I won't post an example or (the other) Doug will get me.
Are you buying coins because you think they will get likes from other members, or are you buying coins because you like them? If you like them...what does it matter what other people think?
To me the best posts are ones that start a good conversation that we all can join in on and learn from. It's good to see other coins with a similar theme but it's good when the OP gives a good attribution, history or any other interesting information about the coin. The OP coin in this thread is fantastic and many people would love to own it but to me the fun of owning the coin is its history and sharing that history for others to learn from is rewarding.
