This is going to hit wallets like a tsunami.

The presidential medals which have been $90 for years just went up to $164 a piece. The regular silver proof set is going up to $245. The 1 oz comic art medals $200 each.
This will have an upward effect on everything.

Remember a few years back we were talking about ASEs getting to $100 soon. Looks like they blew past that threshold and will be $200 soon.

Agreed. At this rate a 2026 ASE may blow my entire coin budget for the year.

No doubt for done collectors it will. You can almost buy 2 ounces of generic rounds or bars at that price.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

To be fair... silver went from $30/oz this time last year to $91/oz today..... there has always been a huge premium for this stuff, they're just adjusting to the new market and anticipating a continued rise so they don't have to keep re-pricing it.

Yep, same two words for me! I don't collect Proofs so I'm in the clear, besides the US Mint can kick rocks! lol.gif

…I mean, I get it…adjusting prices has to happen thanks to silver’s rocket ship ride.

But previous price hikes turned me away before the current silver streak, and I sympathize with all collectors who now feel doors slamming in their faces.

I agree. I have the sets up to last year, but the price was already ridiculous, so I guess I'm done. I wonder if I shouldn't get the '26 though, just for the cents, and then cancel after this year.

And what will they do if the price of silver 'tanks'? Will they be quick to respond with a price reduction? I doubt it. I'm placing a moratorium on mint products this year. I have to tighten the belt and not get buggered by the blasted's.....

And if everyone is (rightly) ticked off by this ridiculous pricing, and hardly anyone buys - boom, a new rarity! Here, I'll help make that happen.

I saw the on TV NGC PR70DCAM First day or some such label for only $299.95 and of course if you 3 or 5 they drop the price a little.
I buy one for each of my 4 grandchildren each year. Oh my., this will be their 20the one.

Dang! I only have in my subscriptions a unc. mint set and a proof set just so I could get all 3 pennies which they stop minting in 2025 LOL
