No, it's a guarantee and I was proven right. Again, you just don't know the market. Or in your terms, know your enemy. If you insist on negatively going after Carr items you really should know what you're talking about. And that goes for all the "haters" not just you.
How exactly were you proven right? None of those ase overstrikes have sold on the after market yet...
What are you talking about? I'm talking about the 13 minted Walker overstruck ASE's that were done by DC basically as an afterthought and that another member here appropriately called "sloppy." As far as my 3 broken sword tokens... they were a neat product and I felt confident enough about them to try and make some money on the aftermarket.
2 open offers for an undisclosed premium is not a guarantee of success. Bottom line: You just made an unfounded claim based on your bias.
You made unfounded claims, Chris. Own it as your opinion and try to do better next time. I've stated all along that IMO these OP overstrikes were thoughtless and diminish DC's name and product. At least I'm not tripping all over myself this morning with bogus claims.
Create a poll thread and let's see who agrees with whom. All this petty fighting is nonsense bro. And I'm not the one instigating it. Of course it was/is my opinion. That's not in dispute. But what is also not in dispute is that I was proven correct. It's so obvious these could be flipped for a profit, if one knows the DC market.
I think we can all see the issue here. I made it clear and thank you for proving my point. You weren't proven correct, but thanks for at least admitting your guarantees were your opinion only. Progress is progress. And as far as creating a poll... that's the sort of childish "I need everyone to agree with me" 2nd grade nonsense that we should avoid. But go ahead if you feel the need. As for me, I think we know such a poll would boil down to an overall support vs. non-support of DC in general, which is pointless.
I don't know what else to say, this is like talking to a child, edited. Like I said, go start a poll, otherwise you would be wise to just drop this erroneous line of thinking... Time for a shower and breakfast
Really? Since someone has a different opinion than you their line of thinking is wrong and only your view is correct right? That's exactly how you're coming off here yet you accuse those having an altering view point as being 'haters'. Yet any dissenting opinion regarding Carr or his work or those expressing it is anathema.
Not at all. That post has nothing to do with Carr specifically or a dissenting opinion. Multiple open offers to buy the OP coin at above issue price has confirmed my statement that these are winners yet he seems unwilling to acknowledge it without an eBay page saying so.
If I was lucky enough to snag one of these 13 overstrikes, I would be flipping it on eBay "faster than a hooker in skechers."
I don't know how proof/evidence of your claims is too much to ask. But carry on with your guarantees if you wish. Just know that it's sort of sickening and at the very least, misleading.
I have followed these on the other forum, and yes, there were at least two people who really wanted one and said they would pay a premium. How is that anything OTHER than proof they would go for a profit? Even if it was just those 2 (which I guarantee more than 2 would pay a premium) that is all it needs to sell for a profit. Sure, not every DC piece sells for a profit, but VERY few sell for pennies on the dollar at true auction, like someone (you? I can't remember) said they would. You can easily check ebay sold records and verify that.
Gossip and no actual sales isn't proof. On the other topic, I never said I would do a no reserve auction, but I've been thinking about it with one of my reeded edge broken swords.
