Arrived yesterday...1915 Lincoln Cent Matte PR65 BN. Now I have 1909-1915 Matte Proof series...just need the 1916. The 1909VDB Matte Proof variety with a mintage of 1,194 (actually 44 pennies MORE than the 1915 at 1,150) is out of my range...there's one for sale on David Lawrence Rare Coins asking $45K https://www.davidlawrence.com/inventory/703848

Picked up another Walking Liberty Half for my WWII set. 1944-D. Relatively clean strike on the obverse and reverse. Older PCGS holder and I believe it is graded correctly.

I broke my boycott of the Mint. It wasn't really a boycott. Their prices just rose too high. I got the 2020 Silver Proof set before they raised prices. I was also disappointed I wasn't able to secure a bag of S-mint bat coins. I have all the others but that one. So about 5-1/2 years. Only because silver was above $70 did I buy this.

I'm still on a quest to find a nice chop marked US Trade dollar. This will serve as a place holder.

Haven't posted much in this thread lately. Added this one in the past week or so, seller's photos. No great shakes, but not too shabby as far as conditional rarity. My guess is maybe AU53 or 55 if straight graded, which it should since I've looked at it hard since I received it.

The weekly GC haul from Sunday night. First Jefferson I have bought from GC. Needed the date for my set. I got a good deal on it all in. Which was good because I had to pay up for this Washington Quarter. I have this thing for 1956-1964 Philly Washington Quarters. This is the third one for this date I have. Man does this thing sparkle.

At the 2026 FUN show, I upgraded my rather generic 1899-S PCGS MS62 double eagle to a much better looking NGC MS63 of the same date. (And in a prong-free holder, which is a plus for photography.) The upgrade cost me my old coin plus 75 bucks.

I had paid $2K for the old coin a few years ago, so having a total of $2,085 in the new coin is nice ($2,000 original investment + $75 upgrade fee + $10 for pending new photos).

I look at that $4,400 price sticker on the back of the new coin's slab, and just smile.

Told my wife I got the new coin for 75 bucks, which was sorta true. :p

(She wasn't fooled, and asked how in the world that happened.) ;)

Wow, at melt? I can tell you with 100% honesty, I'll never find that at mine.
In fact, last coin show I went to, even the tables insulted my intelligence with their pricing. And that was after dickering. There is a reason I use fleaBay. :muted:

WOW! Just plain WOW! I got a very circulated 1900 - O for 99 cents over melt, and thought I was doing great. It's just a regular circulated Morgan, but I didn't have one for that year from the N.O. mint so I saved it from being melted down. Since I live in Louisiana, I'm partial to N.O. mint coins. If the price is right, anyway, lol.
