My Shiny Peace Dollar

    This really has a shine to it. Almost a glow. She’s a beauty. I just need a 1927-S just like it. I still can’t find the right one. But one day I will. :)

    I think it'll be quite a while before the price of silver rises enough to wipe out the premium on an MS-64 1927-S... ;)

    Lovely!

    I once had a 1934 PCGS MS64 that looked just like that! I wonder if it is the same coin. Alas, I no longer have any pictures or a cert number in my records.

    I like lustrous white or off-white Peace dollars.

    This is my current type coin. It is a more common date, of course, but this coin is such a lusterbomb that it shot a beam of light out from a display case at the 2025 FUN show, which caught my eye from ten feet away.

    @Randy Abercrombie and I fought over it. I was the one who saw it first, but he pulled out his wallet first, so he got it. He later let me buy it from him but still mentioned it again when we were at the 2026 show. In hand, it is pretty memorable.
