In the past month or so I saw atleast a couple of threads featuring either empresses or any one of the Julia's. At the end of 2016 around November or December sometime I started a sub collection of empresses. I'm nowhere close to being done. With all the collections I have started I assume this one will take a while to acheive. My biggest problem is when I started I had no direction as usual, but I have some in sestertius some bronze AE some silver AR. I think I'm going to start over and make this an all AR empress collection. I am so far behind as far as photograghing goes mainly because life has been keeping me busy but also because I'm experimenting with new photo set ups. I wanted to post this Julia Domna mainly because of where it came from. Not long ago someone had posted a coin they purchased from one of our own Ken Dorney. I had this in my watch on Vcoins at that time and think it was a few days after that post I decided to go ahead and grab this one. When I purchased it I made no connection of who I was or mention any CT connection. Any way the photo is Kens seller pic as I've not gotten around to taking any recent purchase photos. I will say I am very pleased with this one. It was shipped the next day after purchase and made it here within a couple of days. The price was right on maybe a little less than others I comapred it to of the same type. Thanks @Ken Dorney Julia Domna 18mm, 3.4g, Rome IVLIA AVGVSTA: Draped bust right PIETAS PVBLICA: Pietas standing left raising both hands, altar at feet. RIC 574 SEAR 6601 Post what ya got.
@Ken Dorney has good stuff in his vcoins store. I'm a satisfied customer. You have a lovely coin. I really like that reverse theme with Pietas. Here are my Julia Domna coins, none from his store though. And a link to my recent thread on the history of Julia Domna: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/julia-domna-empress-scholar-mother-to-emperors.290939/#post-2647643
That was a great post Sallent. I remember reading when you posted. Been touch & go the last month. Enough time to read threads but not enough to post any.

Lovely posts everyone!! Well, except for the 'mean' Julia that @dlhill132 posted LOL Congrats @Smojo!! i'm glad you were able to grab one of her---a terrific example! As you know, I'm still working on a nice up-grade. but here's one I do have ( gnarly as hell LOL)---and she must be happy since the reverse depicts Hilaritas:
