Well what a thing to wake up to this morning. I made a New Year resolution that I would make it a point to start some sort of 20th century type set. I find I am the winner of the Steelie cent!

Wow! What a beautiful coin for a prize. Please count me in for this round.
Back in the early 90’s I stopped into my local bank and as always, asked for half dollars. They had only one that day, so I bought it for .50. A 1936-S RI Tercentenary commemorative half!
To this day still one of the greatest single bank finds I’ve ever had. And yes it had the verdigris on it back then.
