Ghana: 2017 silver 5-cedis of Elizabeth II, African Leopard commemorative, 1-ounce, .999 fine

    PCGS MS69. Cert. #39640165.

    Numista-118912, Krause-Mishler-60.

.999 silver, .9989 oz. Diameter: 38.6 mm. Weight: 31.10 g. Mintage: 50,000. Struck at the Scottsdale Mint, Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.

This coin has an attractive design and an interesting "leopard" pattern background in its fields. It is difficult to photograph and even the professionals at PCGS did not attain perfect images of it.

Ex-"sonlarson", CoinTalk forums, 5 June 2020. If memory serves, I purchased the coin raw and submitted it to PCGS myself.

Here is mine. My favorite animal, the Leopard.
What should it grade? NOT toned. Lighting issue??

It would probably go MS69 like mine. Maybe even 70.

Amusingly, I note that mine is currently the bottom-pop example, being the sole MS69 certified by PCGS. The other 14 presently graded are all MS70s!

Even more amusingly, mine is not the bottom-pop example across the board at all services, because the current auction record holder is a coin in an NGC Genuine holder which sold for $518.80 on eBay via Best Offer in 2023! Now that's just crackpipe-crazy!

I have 82 bucks in mine. The melt value has almost caught up to that price.

That's about what I paid for mine originally. The $82 investment I have in it now includes the cost of slabbing it.
