Hi, this cent is very heavy and has an odd rim around it. I tilted it up and looked under the microscope and the letters are rolled up under the rim so it was not added manually to the cent. Thoughts?
Appears to be a "dryer coin" , one that got caught in the wash and rolled around quite a bit. Usually the edges are smoother, but damage .
Is that a real error/variety or is the new guy getting messed with? I came across "finned" cents the other day and wondered about that also. So much to learn, so little grey matter...
The cent weighs 3.02g Found a prior thread...possibly a "dryer" coin, regardless no value https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1967-with-error-and-spooned.43462/
