    I only made it to First Class and was just a badge away from the next rank (what was that, Star?) but I turned 18 and thus “aged out” of the program. (I was fairly late going in.) Some of my younger friends made Eagle.

    Let's wrap up Round 9 in a moment, which will end my round and put @BuffaloHunter's three rounds on deck. He put up some nice stuff for Rounds 10 and 11, but [spoiler alert] Round 12 is something of the "grand finale" for this contest.

    To enter this round, all you need to do is:

    1. Say that you want this lot, and
    2. post something else coin-related or cheerful.

    Then, sometime in the next 2-4 days (depending on my schedule), we'll do the drawing and move on to the next round.

    You may of course say you want it for someone else, if you name that person.

    They're great fun to dig, no matter the condition. In my detecting days, I found three half-reales, one 1-real (made into a love token), and a 2-reales piece.
