American Women Quarters - 2025

As the year 2025 draws to a close, I notice I have found exactly none of the American Women quarters this year.

I think this is the first year since the special quarters began in 1999 that I haven't found any. Anybody else having any luck?

Are they worth more or just putting something together?

 

I'm sure they're only worth 25¢ but I just enjoy hunting them in pocket change.

 

The same thought struck me earlier today. I haven't seen any in circulation at all!

 

I am quite confident that I did. I remember quizzically looking at the odd designs.

 

I am quite confident that I have not seen any. I looked up that they are, and none are familar.

 

I found a few Vera Rubin quarters in change.

 

Just went through today’s pocket change and have this one.

 

I am finding them in Indiana. We usually get P mint first.

 

I have found about half the 2024's, it's the 2025's that are giving me trouble. That happens to be one of the 2024's I haven't seen yet (Zitkala Sa), though

 

Oh!! I am a year behind. Whoops!

 

I have found 3 of them, still missing 2.
Stacey Park Milburn, Dr Vera Rubin, and Ida B Wells.
All Denver though. Might be a few P's I don't recollect.

 

I’m in the same boat.

 

The only one I got this year was Juliette Gordon Low. (I call them girl scout cookies.) By the time I get the other ones for my album, they will be all scratched up.

 

I've found all of this year's AWQs in circulation, except for Althea Gibson.

 

Where are these millions of quarters? In a government storage facility?

Lol don't even have that many... honestly except for what I saved to put in the album most of them I just spent again. I did save a roll of Sally Ride and Mary Walker. The roll of Stacey Milbern I got I sold to my dad (I wasn't even trying for those; my parents' washing machine was broken so I needed quarters to do laundry at my apartment, and the bank just happened to give me two full rolls of them!)

I live quite close to the Denver Mint so maybe that has something to do with it... it usually doesn't take long for new coins to show up where I work. Although they've been pretty slow to come out this year.

I've noticed since the American Women quarter program started, it's pretty easy to get the first three but the last two seem harder to find and take longer to show up.

Still not seen Althea Gibson in circulation yet, and within a month or two the Mayflower quarter should be out... fun to look through change!

 

I have found the 2025-P Julette Gordon Low and a 2025-D Ida Wells. That's it so far.
