Well I went to my local Walmart, after buying a sorted bag of knick knacks, by chance ask the lady if she had any rolls of pennies the woman proceeded to pull out handfuls of pennies and started counting them out so I proceeded to take about $5 worth of pennies from her and giving her bill. I did not find much but I did find some 1982 since 1972 cents no San Francisco since from the '60s and '70s no double dies or anything like that but I did find a 1941 d sent, and two Canadian cents

Dude.. the correct Numismatic terminology is actually doubled die. Double die is wrong.

There are trillions of Cents out there, everywhere. Jars, jugs, all types of containers, boxes, bags and lost in parks and beaches.

I could knock on any of my dozens of neighbors in my 13 story apartment complex and they would probably gift my all of their stored away cents! :D

I don't see the sense in trying to get rolls from anywhere. It's not like they are going to disappear off of the face of the earth any time soon. Not even 100 years from now.o_O

    IMHO

Pennies will always be around. They may not be used in commerce like we are used to but they will be there. Can you image trying to pay for something using Pennies 10 years from now.

In my world, nobody even cares about the cent or if someone calls something a double die. It's just not important. The banks or any business don't want them. They will take them but wish they would just go away. Those that have jars and bags of cents don't care enough to find a place to cash them in.

In my local cash spending I have yet to run into a business that was out of pennies or that insisted on rounding. In fact the most recent time the 3-4 pennies were all from a fresh roll of 2024-D.
