I just sold four of these 1921 No Mint Mark Morgan Dollars this month in my antique shop. They were all BU and I got above spot for them. I doubled my money. I didn’t realize they were that rare.

And as a counterpoint, I dropped in on the new BIN listings this afternoon. There's a guy with thousands of positive feedback listing sets of 5 Morgan dollars, various dates -- at $35 a set, BIN.

Yes, he's got recent negative feedback dinging him for selling fake coins.

It's "eBay rare", like the 1907 Indian cent.

Yea, guys are making a fortune selling silver dollars for less than melt … the trouble is there is no silver in them.

According to Red Book, Philadelphia minted about 46.7 million business strike Morgan dollars in 1921.

    Doesn't sound too rare...

There was a time when the market makers actively traded all Morgan except the 1921 dated pieces which they specifically excluded in their buying and selling because they were so common.

1821 Morgan Silver Dollars are considered common and being the last year of circulation they are easy to find in MS than in circulation grades.

I know some will make an exception for the 1921-D since it's the only Morgan dollar Denver ever minted.

Fun fact: the gap between 1904 to 1921 Morgan dollars was the longest gap in a US coin series... until the gap between 1981 and 1999 in Susan B. Anthony dollars. (If you don't count the 2021 "revival" of Morgan and Peace dollars. I don't consider that to count lol as they're intended as collector pieces.)
