Anonymous Byzantine Follis Series, Another way to judge the rarity of this popular series.

    If you really want to see variety, someone can attempt to collect the Class I by reverse types. I probably own 10 different types and I do not even attempt to collect by the reverses.

    As for rarity of the series, no dataset is complete, but combining everything I have ever read on the series collectively state that Class E, F, H, and J are the rarities as far as Class rarity. Class E is sneaky, since it has the same obverse of Class A and B, but only 3 lines on the reverse. Class F, H, and J are simply rare. I own about 5 each of them now, but took me years. All others I own dozens of.

    Actually that follis I posted is a Bellinger/Grierson type 32.
