A Christmas Gift From My Wife

This is one of two gifts that my wife gave me this Christmas. I don’t seek out tones on coins but from my wife, I love it and her! It’s dated 1896.

I'm guessing two eyes.

 

And the price was right, even at spot. I’m thrilled.

 

I have a soft spot for 1896 silver dollars because of the presidential election that year when William Jennings Bryan ran on the free silver issue.

I talk to my dealer and he sets aside some coins. She calls and picks out the ones she wants. He mails them to her and I receive them as gifts. It works for all of us.
