what's the best way to get a picture of your coins? i've tried so many ways and none of them have worked!
A quality camera (not necessarily expensive), some good light, and patience. Capturing the true quality of a coin takes lots of practice and even more patience.
Digital camera, indirect diffused light (no flash), tri-pod, macro lens, patience. For diffused lighting, I use a gallon milk/water jug with the top cut off. Shine the light at the jug at a 45 degree angle. Place the coin on a black, porous background so that no light is reflected from it.
every time i have taken a picture before the coin has appeared golden even if it wasn't any way to fix that?
Two ways - one use different light bulbs. Regular light bulbs turn any pic yellow. It's because of the light itself. Go to the grocery store and get yourself some GE Reveal light bulbs. The other way is to adjust the white balance on your camera.
ooooooooo i've been using a very bright fluorescent light that could be my problem! but right now i don't think i'll be able to get new light bulbs for a few days. as soon as i get a good pictures i'll put some on here -Josh-
hmmmmmm......i'm being ADD! where can i get those GE lights? thanks, i'm kinda slow so the answer is probably obvious but that's OK! -Josh-
I get them at the local grocery store - but Kmart, WalMart, Target, Home Depot - just about everyplace I've ever been carries them.
