I'm going to FUN 2026 in about 10 days and was wondering if any of the Currency/Bill collectors were headed there. Last time I went -- in 2020 -- I would say that maybe 5-7% of the vendors were bill-focused. Maybe it'll be more now. My original intent was to add a nice gold coin and some silver, but the rise in the underlying metals prices has really screwed me. Unless I find nice specimens, I may pass. Which brings me here...my back up could be a couple of nice bills and then hope that gold & silver fall in subsequent months. Not sure what I might look for but if I have to go home without the disappointment of a Saint or some nice Morgans these could help get over them: Large Currency Bill ($500 doable in 63-64 condition, $1,000 in 58) A really low (single-digit) serial number bill from decades ago (not a modern). Black Eagle Silver Certificate (I don't have any Large Size bills of any kind so anything Large would be a nice addition). With the $$$ not chasing gold, I could go pretty decent here in quality (mid-60's ?). Another Gold Certificate in $50 and good quality. I already have Hawaii and North Africa bills so unless I went up a ton in quality and/or lower in SN not sure there's anything there to grab me. My bill collection is eclectic -- whatever grabs me at the moment -- and my prized possessions are probably my SN #715 Hawaii Note PMG-67 and an EF-45 Gold Certificate $10.
