    PCGS PR69 DCAM. Cert. #39640164.

    Numista-54993, Krause-Mishler-1258.

    .999 silver, 1.0024 oz. Diameter: 38.61 mm. Weight: 31.21 g. Mintage: 6,555.

If and when I collect modern coins and bullion coins, I prefer them to be proofs with Deep Cameo contrast. This one certainly has plenty of that, with stunning black-and-white mirrors. I also like owls, so Britannia is rather charming here with her pet owl on her knee. I simply thought this was a lovely design, so I bought the coin and submitted it to PCGS. Also, 2013 was the year I was finally able to travel to the UK for the first and only time.

Ex-private transaction on the Collectors Universe Buy/Sell/Trade forums. Purchased raw in the original mint case.
