Austria: 2008 silver proof 10-Euros, Klosterneuburg Abbey commemorative PCGS PR70 DCAM. Cert. #37681946. Top-population (tied with one other example for highest graded as of 2025). Numista-13302, Krause-Mishler-3157. .925 silver, .5145 oz. Diameter: 32 mm. Weight: 17.3 g. Mintage: 60,000. I was attracted to this modern Euro commemorative design for its intricate city view on the obverse and cathedral interior on the reverse, as well as its frosty Deep Cameo contrast. It features the Klosterneuberg Abbey in Austria. I was the first to submit one to PCGS, and for a long time this coin reigned alone at the top of the population, being the sole certified example in all grades. There have been only one or two occasions where I can recall a coin I submitted making a perfect 70-grade like this did. Another one of these has since been submitted, and also got the PR70 DCAM grade, so it's a two-way tie for top-pop now. The other coin set the auction sales record when it sold for $65 on eBay on 17 October 2024. (Mine has never been to auction since I had it certified.) As often seems to happen with World coins, PCGS holdered this with the reverse facing forward, though they got the orientation right in the TrueView image. The cityscape is the obverse. Ex-eBay. Purchased raw in the original mint case. 007800
