Christmas gift to myself

Just got in the mail today the 2025 reverse proof Morgan & Peace dollar set. Got it to celebrate the milestone of... well, being able to afford it I guess, lol. Did become full time where I work which gives me more disposable income.

Not really in the mood to get this thing every year but wanted at least one of them. The uncirculated ones look... I don't know, not as good as any decent one from their original run, while still being more expensive. The matte or satin or whatever they're calling the finish just looks kind of flat to me. The proofs look OK but not good enough for me to want to fork out the money to get them.

But something about the reverse proofs excites me in a way the uncirculated and regular proofs just don't. I don't know how to describe it better than that. Some coins just look really good in reverse proof, and these two are among them.

Photos please?! I think this is my first year without a Christmas chon gift form me to me in over twenty years. I’m saving my money for a coin I need. I need two expensive ones to complete my collection. I’ll do it but it’s hard.

Is it available direct from the Mint ? And what does it run ?

I told myself I'd treat myself to a Birthday and Christmas present at FUN 2026 for another Saint and/or Large Currency Bill and/or some silver coins.

But with the rise in gold and silver...at this rate...by early-January....I'll be treating myself with Birthday and Christmas presents for 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028.

Yes, currently sold directly by the Mint; they're currently selling the set for $215 (contains a total of *1.716 troy oz. of silver, worth $119.31 at current silver price of $69.53 / oz., so premium is kind of high, but still proportionately a little less than what they're charging for the comic art medals, for example). At that price not buying this every year but I could justify getting myself a single set of them.

*The coins each weigh 26.73g, and are 99.9% silver, and thus contain 26.7g of silver, or about 0.858 troy oz.

I'm sure they will be at FUN 2026, I'll look for them there. Might have to pay a bit more but could get it graded/holdered and I'm looking to hold LT.

I still have my 2013 West Point RP and Enhanced Finish coins.....probably not up much or at all as the premium to silver back then was HUGE. :wideyed:

Reverse proofs are a serious pain to take pictures of! Best I could manage.
