    Great Britain: 1865 silver florin of Queen Victoria, "Gothic" type, Die #13

    PCGS AU50. Cert. #15734604.

    Numista-4840, Krause-Mishler 746.3, Spink-3892. Die #13 below bust.

    .925 silver, .3364 oz. Diameter: 30 mm. Weight: 11.31 g. Mintage: 1,580,000.

    Ex-"reveries989", eBay, 14 February 2022.

    Note to self: "Yorkshireman" on Collectors Universe wants first dibs on this coin if I sell it.

    Thanks. The “Gothic” crowns and florins are supremely popular for their beauty. The crowns (which I think were proof only?) are nosebleed-expensive. Best I could afford at the time was a florin, and a lightly circulated one at that. It’s got a few tiny tickmarks but I think the toning on this one really sets it off.
