"Gold" alloys?

    Actually BronzeAge (that's me) is the original thread starter with the Korean coin.

    You and Burton are the ones who did all the research. PaddyB had a significant amount of info as well.

    I'm pretty sure this Eisenhower dollar is 40% silver, and this 1963 set has 3 coins that are 90% silver, but what about the set at the top of the picture? Looks like it might have a silver half dollar, but not sure. IMG_20251220_144053919~2.jpg

    Funny thing......
    In 1990 I won a 1969 Uganda 12 piece Proof Set for $873.00

    The 5 AV coins are close to 8 troy oz gold

    never gave it a thought, but the 7 Silver ones= 168g

    So a good buy! The 1000 shilings 140g. 1163595.jpg
