    NGC AU53. Cert. #6676567-012. Numista-52468, Krause-Mishler-73, Spink-2638B. Weight: 9.05 g.

Ex-Atlas Numismatics, 17 June 2025, private trade. This is one of my most valuable single coins as of 2025. I traded two very nice pieces from my collection (a PCGS MS70 USA 2003 gold $50 and a PCGS MS61 1895-PG V Puerto Rico Peso) to acquire it.

James I of England (who was also James VI of Scotland) is of course best known for the King James Bible, which was translated to English during his reign.
