I don't anticipate garnering anything new unless David Lawrence Rare Coins actions tempt me this Sunday and the following one. Not likely, though. I've got all I want and need and that, in itself, is a blessing indeed. Looking back upon this year I've enjoyed seeing all of my friends here post their finds and their triumphs. So, while we are about to celebrate the Christmas Holiday and New Year, post your last purchase of the year.

    Nice, Green!

This one is probably my last purchase of the year. Just came last week as the newest addition to my type set.

Didn't find anything I wanted this year but have my eyes on something. Hope to see it in hand at the FUN Show.

I haven’t bought much in the past few months because I’m saving my money for an expensive coin or two that I need to complete one of my collections.

Nice coins. My final purchases of 2025 were two relatively inexpensive items, a Roman provincial AR Tetradrachm from Antioch, and a lead seal. I'm told that it may well be a seal of Theodosius I, with his two sons.

Considering the unlikely hood that I'll find something I like on Ebay in the next 11 days or, weeks, I guess this is my last for the year.

Kent Coin Club medal, Kent Ohio, antique bronze, M/A, 12.33 grams, 33mm nicknamed Tree City in honor of John Davey, a horticulturist who planted trees in Kent. Medal also exhibits die polishing, with the gusto, it would seem, of Norman Bates.

I'm not sure yet, I did buy 3 yesterday plus a Digital Caliper Micrometer LCD Gauge, I broke mine. And if I see something with a train theme , well that could temp me. The Roman coins you post never cease to amaze me. You must have a wonderful collection of them.

My last purchase was some collectable 2 oz Bullion pieces. Dwhiz should like this one.

These Panama-Pacific replicas caught my eye.

That's very kind. While I have a varied collection (I've been collecting since 1993), most of my coins are of the budget type, and pretty decrepit compared to the big boys.

And may you have a very merry Christmas!

I’m not a big ancient collector but CT and members of the ancients forums are the ones that got me started. :)

I think I only purchased two coins this year, and this was the last. Lots of expenses to deal with. I ran into this one on GC and needed a 1949 5c anyway, and I immediately noticed the cool obverse die clash. MS62, <$20, why not.
